Overview:
The Human Resources Representative provides local support of the human resources function in areas that include employee relations, benefits, worker’s compensation, recruitment, new hire orientation and other related areas.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource to employees, assisting them through situations or concerns as needed
  • Manage worker’s compensation and control claims to ensure timely return to work, cost control and OSHA record keeping compliance
  • Lead all recruitment efforts for assigned locations
  • Conduct applicant sourcing, screening, interview and coordinate pre-employment screening and background checks
  • Attend career fairs as needed
  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Communicate benefits plans to all employees and answer questions relating to benefit coverage as necessary
  • Partner with managers to ensure new hire training and monthly safety training is completed timely
  • Maintain employment and DOT records
  • Work with the HR Director to investigate and resolve employee relations concerns
  • Assist in resolving payroll issues for employees
  • Communicate company policy to all levels of employees
  • All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of employees
  • Ability to work with confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail necessary
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Ability to converse, read & write in English
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
  • BA or BS degree required
  • 1-2 years HR Administration experience
  • PHR Certification preferred
