If you are looking for the opportunity to put your experience and training as an HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic to work, we have the job for you! South Mountain Restoration Center is seeking an energetic, reliable candidate with experience in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.

Situated in the beautiful mountains near Michaux State Forest, South Mountain Restoration Center is a Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing Home Facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for performing skilled work at the journey level in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration and/or heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, units, equipment, and peripheral devices in a nursing home facility.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

In compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, if you are selected for this position, you must show, at the time of hire, verification that you have received either a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination, or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination, unless you are exempt from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination due to an ADA or religious accommodation. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment. or
• Completion of a three year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment.

• This position requires possession of a valid Non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.
• All employees must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification types 1,2, and 3, from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.

Other Requirements:

Legal Requirements:

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
