Job Title:
Dispatcher

Classification: Non-exempt

Shift: Full time, 40 hours per week, occasional overtime, occasional nights, weekends, or on call as

assigned

Reports to: Dispatch Team Lead

Summary: This position is responsible for maximizing the potential of scheduled jobs and minimizing travel time for field personnel assigned to them.

Essential Duties:

  • Evaluate jobs and assign the best technician to maximize the potential of each job and minimize travel time of field personnel assigned to them.
  • Communicate with customers before, during & after job as needed.
  • Manage location and needs of field personnel assigned to them.
  • Accurately debrief every job to ensure standards are met regarding completion, follow up, and
  • payment.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications
:

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE— Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess at least two (2) years of customer service or dispatch experience, preferably in a fast-paced customer service function.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS— Able to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Able to speak English clearly and with proper grammar and diction.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS— Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • REASONING ABILITY— Able to apply common sense understanding in a variety of situations to assure customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS— Typing and Excel proficiency required. Knowledge of how to access and use the internet and have a good working knowledge of data entry software, spreadsheet software and/or word processing software. Phone system knowledge and experience is helpful.
