SUMMARY: Under the limited direction of the assigned manager, the IAS Quality Compliance (QC) Specialist 3 is responsible for the most complex quality compliance issues for the centralized lending, deposit operations and local banks. The incumbent is recognized as an expert in the field of loan or deposit compliance; knowledgeable of emerging trends, changing regulations, industry practices and conducts the most vital work critical to the Quality and Compliance department. The IAS QC Specialist 3 also serves as a mentor to other associates in the Quality and Compliance department and assists management by identifying and correcting discrepancies with regard to day-to-day functions. As an expert team member, the incumbent ensures the timely identification, mitigation, resolution and reporting of existing, emerging and upstream operational and regulatory risks and issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Corroborate with associates on quality compliance mandates and initiatives and verifying that Arvest is taking appropriate steps to achieving loan or deposit compliance.
  • Analyze, research and lead the resolution of potential lending/deposit compliance issues by reviewing exposure, remediation plans and implementation to full compliance with applicable rules or regulations.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of identified compliance mandates and direct implementation of resolutions for loan and deposit compliance production issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise with regard to complex quality compliance issues for associates across Arvest.
  • Identify and escalate current and potential compliance operational impacts to departmental management, ensuring the timely identification, mitigation, resolution and reporting of existing, emerging and upstream operational and regulatory risks and issues. Assist management with internal/external assessments.
  • Document operational/procedural impacts and changes in appropriate software database for quality compliance issues that need to be developed and implemented in support of compliance initiatives; tracking each compliance issue from identification to resolution.
  • Make recommendations of appropriate course of action; assess risk exposure to the bank and work with IAS Management, Group Compliance department and/or legal counsel to make appropriate decisions.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree in Business related field or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Knowledge of relevant bank operations, procedures and documentation required.
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year required.
