Pediatric practice focused on delivering excellent patient service in a fun, family-oriented atmosphere, requires energetic, highly personable Medical Assistants, LPNs or RNs who can do back office clinical tasks and assist if needed with front desk tasks. Must possess outstanding customer service and the skills to help create a warm, caring environment at the practice.

Essential Functions:

v Warmly welcome people and directed them to their destination.

v Taking vitals signs such as blood pressure, height, weight temperature, and pulse ox

v Create referrals for patients through insurance

v Complete prior authorizations through insurance

v Prepare and administer vaccines starting with newborns up to 21 years of age

v In house CLIA diagnostic testing such as covid, flu, strep, urinalysis, as well as sending specimens out to the lab.

v Lead and hemoglobin screenings

v Hearing and vision screenings

v Cleaning and restocking patient rooms

v Maintaining and ordering office supplies/ inventory

v Taking chief complaints and illness history in patient interview

v Accurate documentation of patient information

v Schedule physical, follow up, sick visits as appropriate

v Aids doctor and physician assistant in office procedures such as wax removal, wound care, and suture removals

v Verifying insurances

v Accurately send messages from patient to doctor through EMR system.

v Follows HIPPA and OSHA regulations

v Performs additional job-related duties as assigned

Skills/ Abilities

v Strong interpersonal and communication skills

v Must be organized and detail oriented

v Familiar with medical terminology and EMR systems

v Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

v Strong computer skills

v Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients

v Ability to work in a team environment and always interact professionally with patients and team members

Education

· High School or equivalent required

Licenses/ Certification

· Certified Medical Assistant

Experience

· 1 year experience in medical setting preferred but willing to train the right candidate

· Spanish speaking is a plus!

Additional Requirements

· Completed Covid vaccine series including booster

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
