Description:Founded in 1908, Darley is a family-owned and operated business supplying products to first responder and military communities. We have manufacturing operations in Chippewa Falls, WI and Janesville, IA with our corporate office and distribution facility located in Itasca, IL.
We are seeking an Import/Export Shipping Manager who will be responsible for quoting and arranging foreign and domestic shipments for our Equipment Division. These shipments can range from small packages up to large shipment containers. This position includes administrative paperwork including bill of lading, shipping invoices, packing lists, hazmat and additional documentation associated to the shipments.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing shipping documentation such as bills of lading, shipping invoices, packing lists, hazmat declaration, proforma invoices or certificates of origin for domestic & international shipments
• Providing domestic and international rate quotes for small packages, pallet loads, and full shipping containers
• Verifying proper packaging and labeling of exported goods
• Coordinating shipment of return goods
• File claim for lost or damaged shipments
• Communicating with suppliers, customers and internal team
• Interfacing with carriers for best shipping rates
• Manage and schedule shipping of products.
• Monitoring transportation performance and expenditures

Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of logistic operations and shipping procedures and documents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and excellent multitasking abilities
• Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
• Close attention to detail and moderate computer proficiency

Preferred Skills/Abilities

• Hazmat Certification

Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Two to five years of experience as a Shipping Manager or similar role.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
