1. Bread Production Plant Maintenance Mechanics
Pay Rate: $22 - $34 per hr. (Depending upon experience)
Shifts: Day and Night Shifts
Days and Hours: 4 days on, 3 days off schedule to include either a Saturday or Sunday off each week
Shifts: 12-hour shift with 8 hours overtime each week; with extra days of overtime offered.
- Repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC production plant equipment.
- Help oversee project and task-oriented jobs. Helping perform backup duties of other staff as needed
- Several different types of online and computer-based training programs IE. (Electrical training)
- Excellent training program to develop advanced skill employees.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts
- Able to lift to 50 lbs. comfortably
- Able to stand for an entire shift
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work well with others
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be able to pass entry level maintenance test
- Some skill in using a tablet base program for our CMMS program.
- Operating lifts and forklift as needed
- Following all GMP food processing requirements
2. Meat Packing Plant Maintenance Mechanics
Schedule: Monday-Friday; some Saturdays
Hours:
1st shift: 6am start. 8-10 Hour days.
3rd Shift: 9pm to 6am
Pay Rate: $26/Hour to start
Job Description:
- Safely perform repairs and preventative maintenance on production floor and facility
- Work efficiently with production staff to support the day-to-day production processes with a sense of urgency
- Troubleshoot and rebuild on all types of food packaging machinery, motors, and similar devices
- Work safely with hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal energies
- Report any deficiencies to a supervisor in a timely manner
- Maintain minimal production down time and solutions to reduce time
- Correct use of lockout/tagout program
- Account for tools, utensils and other potentially dangerous equipment that are distributed daily
- Attend documented training on company procedures
- Keep the maintenance shop and all work areas clean and organized
- Follow all HACCP, SSOP’s, SOP’s, and GMP policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Working maintenance experience and training in the food processing industry which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the work
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Must have a high math aptitude; be assertive; and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Able to understand, read, speak, and write in English at 12th grade level for reading machine manuals, schematics, wiring charts, motor repair, MSDS, etc.
- Must be able to withstand long periods in cold, warm, or wet/damp environments
3. Pizza Production Plant Maintenance Mechanic
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 3pm-11:30pm
Pay Rate: $22+/Hour, based on experience.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Maintenance Technician conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, systems and components. The position applies knowledge of electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. The Maintenance Manager provides skilled support to all areas of manufacturing.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Associate degree for an electro-mechanical technician
2. 3 years minimum of electro-mechanical experience.
3. Strong troubleshooting skills.
4. Industrial ammonia refrigeration experience preferred, but not required.
5. Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred, but not mandatory.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Maintenance Technician will ensure smooth operation of the systems and machines including, but not limited to:
1. Ensures that equipment and building structure are in appropriate conditions and approved for use in food industry.
2. Assisting to improve the needs and methods of the operation to produce safe and high-quality products.
3. Responsible for providing strong technical guidance and leadership to maintenance personnel.
4. Ensures employee’s technical training, preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment and facility maintenance.
5. Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment.
6. Maintaining conveyor systems.
7. Troubleshooting malfunctions.
8. Maintains treatment systems, as well as other systems, using gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and mechanic hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components.
9. Fabricates, assembles, and tests parts as needed using metal fabricating tools, common hand tools, and power tools.
10. Responsible for Food Safety, maintaining the integrity of SQF system and adhering to the gluten free and organic programs.
11. Performing preventative and routine maintenance on all plant equipment including pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
12. Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, manuals, technical orders, and schematics to determine repair needs.
13. Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects, parts, and materials.
14. Interacting and working alongside production employees and contractors.
15. Keeps work are neat, clean, and organized.
16. Conducts self in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a professional office environment as well as plant operations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The plant operates in a cold environment of 50 degrees Fahrenheit or below. The employee will be in an environment that is cold, wet, dry, and at times foggy. Personnel are encouraged to wear warm clothing underneath the provided gear.
4.1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic (Recycling Plant).
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm and some Saturdays as needed.
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour to start, based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities: Performs the maintenance procedures to maintain and repair production, building and mobile equipment.
Requirement and Qualifications: Product Knowledge; Must have a basic understanding of manufacturing equipment including production line equipment, mobile equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, trailers and semi tractors. Electrical Knowledge; Must have a working understanding of line voltages up to 480 volts. Able to read and interpret equipment schematics. Able to perform basic electric troubleshooting and minor repairs. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Knowledge; Must have a working understanding of cylinders and valves. Able to read and interpret equipment schematics. Able to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs. Mobile equipment operation. Able to obtain and maintain an operator’s license for all mobile equipment.
