PRODUCTION PAINTER POSITION

We have an immediate open position for an industrial painter.

Standard Industrial Corp. is a machine tool manufacturer located in Clarksdale, Ms.

We design and build large metal working machinery.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for body preparation and applying primer and topcoat to industrial machinery using spray gun equipment and techniques. Painters must follow high quality standards to minimize defects and exceed customer standards.

Standard Industrial employees work as one unified team and we never say that’s not my job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Sand all flame cut holes and edges.

· Follow safety procedures for sanding, painting, forklift operation, overhead crane operation, and handling and mixing flammable chemicals

· You must be able to wear a respirator properly and cannot have facial hair touching the respirator.

· Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of materials.

· Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards

· Apply body filler and sand to smooth surface.

· Install decals and warning plates.

· Wash, tape, paint and untape machinery

· Be able to follow verbal and written work instruction.

· Be reliable and on time.

· Be able to work without accessing a cell phone. Only able to use on breaks.

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of industrial paint experience
• Ability to successfully complete pulmonary function test to obtain respirator certification
• Follows all safety and compliance regulations
• Willing to work over 40 hours per week
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Enjoys working in a team environment
• 1+ year(s) of experience spray painting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
