PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The majority of the Employee’s work will be repetitive in nature, using arms and hands for grasping and cleaning. Employees will be standing for a minimum of eight and half-hours on cement or tile floors except for breaks and lunch. Employee should be in excellent physical condition; able to push / pull racks, machinery, or any other equipment that needs moved to do proper cleaning , averaging around 100 pounds. Have good hand/ eye coordination and motor skills, also 20/20 vision corrected and normal hearing range. GENERAL DUTIES• Tends and cleans filter press that filters oil and presses sediment into cakes.• May clean fryers.• May help bakery sanitarian to maintain bakery, clean floors, haul trash, wash pans• May cut grass, trim hedges, paint or clean exterior grounds.• May assist in production or transportation departments as needed.KEY DUTIES 1. Closes valves to line that pumps oil from fryer to press and from press to fryer. Turns valve or pushes button to engage press into bypass mode 2. Allows press to cool down. Double checks all valves. Sets up table and container for dumping of cakes.3. Loosens press by use of long handled wrench.4. Removes rings from press and places on edge of can. Dumps cake and scrapes ring clean with scraper and razor blade. Soaks rings in cleaning solution or cleans with water hose.5. After all rings are removed from press, cleans press and oil drip pans with green pad and cleaning solution. Rinses all of solution off before putting press back together.6. Sprays each ring with cooking spray or lubricant provided 7. Places clean, dry rings back into press in correct numerical order. Places filter paper in between each ring.8. Tighten press with wrench. Opens valves to allow oil into press. Presses buttons to start press or pump. Ensures no oil spill or leaks.9. Clean filter press room with mop and bucket10. Places can of debris into compactor.11. Notifies sanitation manager of low supply levels, press leaks or malfunctions.12. Follows all GMP’s, housekeeping and sanitation policies.13. Reads gauges that indicate pressure in lines and turns valves to release pressure or maintain specified pressure.14. Perform any and all other duties that may be assigned by Sanitation Manager or senior management.
