CPSFL has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Injury Prevention Specialist with our Safe Kids program. This position works throughout Palm Beach County educating on all areas of child injury prevention: On the Road, At Play, Near the Water and At Home.

The Injury Prevention Specialist is engaging and understands the mission of Safe Kids and the importance of injury prevention education and outreach. They need to be motivated, committed, reliable, and flexible. They will be certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician to assist the robust car seat program Safe Kids offers Palm Beach County.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in social services field; will consider exchanging years of direct experience for years of education.
• Min 2 yrs experience in related field working with community partners, families and children.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Flexibility in work schedule, which will include some evening and weekend hours.
• CPR certification preferred.
• National Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification preferred.
• Ability to be covered by the agency’s vehicle insurance policy if identified to participate in transportation duties as a van driver for the program.

• This is a full-time hourly position.
