Summary of Position:

Our Inpatient Unit is a 16-bed withdrawal management and 12 observation bed unit offering short-term residential stabilization services for individuals with substance abuse disorders. We are a 24/7 facility that works as a team to lead encouraging groups, connect clients with medication evaluations, and follow through with aftercare plans. Individuals are accepted on a voluntary basis. The average length of stay for the program is three to five calendar days. Provide supportive, respectful, non-judgmental care to adult clients and assist them in meeting goals identified in treatment plans.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments with regards to needs and the appropriate placement into the program; develops individualized treatment plans, which respond to the needs of the person served as identified by the assessment and coordinates the initial and periodic treatment plans with the Medical Services component; determines from assessment the appropriate services to be provided, the most appropriate service providers, and ensures that the person served is linked with those services

Maintain client records and completes required documentation according to agency and accreditation standards. This may include, but is not limited to biopsychosocial assessment, IDAS, transition checklist, master treatment plan, individual notes, discharge summaries and recovery plan update, as necessary. Intake evaluations and documented summaries.

Assess client needs; determine their eligibility for services base on insurance coverage.

Presents individual counseling session based on the areas of Relapse Prevention, Addictive Behaviors, and Co-occurring disorders.

Counseling: Individual and documentation of all sessions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred or a student enrolled in a course of study while completing a practicum or internship; an individual working toward full certification in addictions counseling or co-occurring counseling by the Delaware Certification Board or a nationally recognized certification organization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve.
• Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and can multi-task.
• Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks in a prompt and accurate fashion in a fast- paced environment.
