Responsibilities: - Visually inspects subassemblies, assemblies, units, product and/or materials to ensure freedom from cosmetic, functional and/or electrical defects. - Measures and/or tests units in accordance with standards to ensure that units conform to established criteria. - Identifies defects and records information on check sheets for tracking purposes. - Communicates defect information to appropriate personnel (e.g., assembly, quality control, supervisor). - May train other members in inspection practices and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance to established standards. - Knows and follows ISO-9001 requirements for designated work area(s). - Relieves workers on other stations as necessary to ensure maximum line uptime. - Ensures that work area is clean and orderly to ensure safety. - May calculate down time, defect percentage and inspection rates to measure productivity. - May be assigned additional duties and/or special projects. Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED and three months inspection/assembly experience or related manufacturing experience preferred. - Must be able to read and follow work standards and complete check sheets and forms. - Must be able to calculate basic math (e.g., division, percentages) by hand or with calculator. - May be required to work overtime and may be assigned to other shifts based on company needs. - Must be 18 years of age to apply.
