O'Berry & Lewis, Inc is a family owned Independent Insurance Agency that has been in business since 1927. We currently serve all of NC and would like to open a location in Morehead City with the help of the right individual.

The Property & Casualty Agent will be responsible for assisting both new and existing clients with personal lines policies, as well as servicing and assisting clients with any other personal lines needs as requested.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
• Maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support. Respond to and follow up on any existing clients needs in a timely manner.
• Obtain best coverages and rates possible for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage; follow up as necessary with completing any policy follow-ups.
• Process changes to existing personal line policies as requested.
• Reminder calls, texts and emails to help agency with retention of book of business as needed.
• Run daily reports to determine which accounts may need servicing.
• Maintain CE (Continuing Education) to maintain your license and to stay informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

Qualifications:

• Property & Casualty Insurance License
• 1-3 Years of Customer Service Experience preferred
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the agency.
• Be people-oriented, customer-focused, and professional in developing new client relationships and servicing existing clients.
• Good organizational skills with an ability to complete daily tasks without supervision
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Have excellent time management skills and enjoys working in a team environment
