Insurance Customer Service Agent

Jones Insurance Service is seeking a full-time Customer Service Agent (CSA) for personal and commercial lines. The CSA is the link between the insurance agency client and the carriers represented by the agency. A friendly, customer-service oriented personality with a positive attitude is paramount. CSA will provide superior service to new and existing accounts, maintaining the highest degree of relationships between the client, companies, and agency personnel. Must be extremely detail-oriented with superior organizational skills. Not responsible for generating business. No cold calling required.

Salary commensurate with experience. Additional bonus opportunities based on performance.

Salary range: $42,000 - $52,000+

Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily account service activities including quotes, policy changes, and claims
  • Keep detailed records of customer interactions and maintain agency file management system
  • Learn companies’ underwriting guidelines to accurately quote new and renewal business
  • Provide current and potential customers service by reviewing coverages, providing quotes, and completing applications
  • Effectively manage incoming calls of all types as well as email requests responding promptly
  • Process premium payments
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients, insurance company personnel, and agency staff

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of insurance customer service experience.
  • TN Property & Casualty Insurance License required, or the ability to obtain within 6 weeks
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Effective communication conducted with respect and integrity
  • Able to perform multiple tasks in a complex working environment accurately and proficiently
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Insurance information systems
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and provide attention to detail
  • Self-starter and problem solver

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
