International Transportation Analyst who will be located in our
Denver, CO office.
The International Transportation team is responsible for supporting Gates's global logistics strategy. The International Transportation Analyst will be responsible for providing support and problem resolution for all internal and external customers, weekly and monthly financial metric reporting and will support all aspects of shipments internationally. This role works externally with International Carriers such as NVOCCs, S&OP, Purchasing, Parcel Carriers, Suppliers, and Gates Freight Payment Company.
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
- Works in collaboration with freight forwarders, carriers, US and non-US affiliates to resolve international shipping issues and keep freight moving in a timely, and compliant manner.
- Provides data analysis that drives service improvement and cost savings through KPI's and various metrics.
- Assists with multi-mode transportation management (International and domestic, Ocean, Rail, Truck TL and LTL).
- Collaborate with Gates the third-party freight payment company to effectively record and report spending.
- Assists with financial reporting and journals for International Transportation.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures for import/export operations and compliance.
ABOUT YOU
- BS, BA or equivalent years of experience
- 3 years specific experience in Import/Export operations
- Working knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics, which includes:
- Domestic and international transportation mode optimization and operations
- Bill of lading and international documentation requirements
- U.S. DOT Regulations
- U.S. Customs regulations
- Incoterms
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy and advanced skills in the use of MS Excel, Power Point, and Word are required.
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Diligent attention to detail
- May be required to participate in occasional business travel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

- Full-Time
