Job Summary
The Inventory Control Manager will oversee inventory management, reconciliations, and tracking across Richelieu Foods. This individual will be tasked with designing a process to manage raw materials and finished goods across Richelieu’s warehouses, plants, and 3PL partners. The ideal candidate will be a change manager with experiences designing and implementing cross-functional policies. This role will develop SOPs for the business to reduce inventory loss, control day-to-day inventory operations, and implement inventory control protocols.
Essential Functions
  • Perform inventory reconciliations and identify discrepancies, such as missing or mislabeled items, and work with the business to rectify.
  • Research the root cause of common discrepancies and work with plants on process improvements.
  • Partner with plants to develop and implement consistent inventory tools for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting across the organization.
  • Develop/create process consistencies between all plants and 3rd parties.
  • Develop and manage regular cycle count calendar and processes.
  • Recommend corrective actions to improve inventory performance and utilization, as well as guaranteeing efficient and robust inventory controls are put in place.
  • Ensure inventory reporting is accurate and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and best inventory management practices.
  • Maintain and improve the company’s inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics regularly to determine which products are selling and which are not being sold
  • Analyze data and generate monthly reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for everything inventory control related, SOPs, etc.
Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Results-oriented, metrics-driven individual with experience in inventory management, spreadsheets, and ERP systems.
  • Superior analytical skills to be able to develop solutions and processes related to inventory utilization that will drive cost control and efficiencies.
  • Computer skills. - Microsoft Office, Excel, ERP Software.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to deliver to deadlines with strong follow-up skills, problem resolution, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to changing situations despite deadlines and pressure.
  • Ability to travel 20%.
Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Purchasing or Supply Chain
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a high volume, high growth, food manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with databases and spreadsheets
  • Strong analytical skills, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
