Summary: The Inventory Manager is primarily responsible for maintaining and establishing quality control and procedures to ensure inventory requirements are met daily. Provides management oversight, planning and accountability for all inventory either pre- or post-harvest including plant stock, processing inventory, bulk finished goods and manufactured goods
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains the daily purchase log by recording budget for the day, logging each purchase, and notating consignments paid. Specifies in log if the money came from till or budget.
- Regulates prior days purchase logs by making copies, sorting and filing logs and receipts.
- Accounts for received products and inputs in to point of sale system.
- Troubleshoots and communicates with Bio-track on any malfunction of point of sale system.
- Balances shake log with computed inventory, fixes any missing products from inventory, and labels each bag of purchased flower.
- Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the inventory management activities and assist in budget development related to handling processes.
- Develop and communicate inventory management policies, train all staff engaged in data collection and scopes related to inventory data systems.
- Maintaining all inventory data in Company systems and databases including inter-department transfers, production schedules, allocation schedules, and projection schedules.
- Work closely with METRC department to maintain all inventory compliance.
- Work closely with the operations and sales department to ensure databases are accurate and actively maintained for company use.
- Responsible for quality control of every item. Receives, labels and stocks new products.
- Responsible for inventory budgets and projections
- Establishes and performs monthly inventory audit by weighing out and logging (physical and computed count) jars, edibles, concentrate, cartridges and any product in back stock safe.
- Perform standard costing and inventory revaluation.
- Assist sales in implementing regional inventory model to support timely fulfillment and supply chain efficiencies.
Management Duties
- Delegates inventory responsibilities and duties to receptionists and pre-roller technicians.
- Manages employees properly while understanding each employee and how to inspire/motivate to bring out each person’s potential.
- Takes appropriate action to correct mistakes and inappropriate behavior. Is responsible for documenting all disciplinary instances.
- Writes weekly shift and break schedules.
Other Duties
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Ability to get along and work effectively with others.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
