Role and Responsibilities

Inventory accuracy / Cycle Counts

• Manage daily cycle counts
• Spot and bin audits
• Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies
• Communicate inventory concerns cross functionally, with sense of urgency
• Ensure accuracy of ERP and WMS
• Identify trends with shrinkage or excess inventory
• Look for ways to prevent future occurrences

Replenishment (Inbound Logistics / Receiving)

• Organize and track incoming shipments from departure port to destination and assess any potential issues
• Ensure accuracy in product arrival dates, updating as needed
• Work closely with customs broker, truckers and cross functionally to ensure timely pick up and delivery of containers
• Accurately receive product
• Resolve receiving discrepancies with suppliers
• File claims as necessary, seeking revised documents or credits
• Communicate new item arrivals and repacking, labeling, or isolation needs as necessary

Relationships

• Maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and truckers
• Assist in obtaining and negotiating rates with truckers
• Assist in identifying cost saving opportunities
• Identify potential new truckers
• Ensure we are up to date on trucker compliance
• Generate reports as needed
• Assist in development of SOPs
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Previous experience working with large sets of data / transactional data
• Proficient to Advance knowledge of Excel

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience with inventory control/management in warehouse distribution setting
• Experience using WMS and ERP
• Strong attention to detail
• Must possess strong written and math skills
• Must be able to multi task
• Must be able to work self-directed as well as part of a team
• Excellent organizations and communication skills

Physical Demands

• Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 25 lbs. several times during the shift.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend, and twist without restrictions.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
