Inventory Manager Job at Mission Inn Resort and Club
Basic Function
Responsible for food prices data entry and helping to deliver goods ordered.
Essential Functions
- Log all items on general receiving log sheets.
- Fill out daily requisitions and contact the respective department for pickup or deliver goods while obtaining signatures to release such items.
- A strong level of communication is required with the chefs, outlet managers and department managers to keep them informed of deliveries and stockouts.
- Aid in entering/pricing all purchases and requisitions in the daily invoice tracking spreadsheet to help track the daily cost of sales.
- Verify receipt of alcoholic beverages order for liquor storeroom.
- Aid in monthly inventories. Enter all liquor, beer and wine on inventory spreadsheets and assist each account at month end with the Purchasing Manager.
- Care for equipment and cleanliness of work area.
- Perform related duties as requested by the manager.
- Recommend profit and spec improvements to the manager.
- Practice safety standards and report all unsafe conditions to the manager.
- Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have previous Culinary experience and the ability to identify various cuts and kinds of meat as well as a variety of other food stuff.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Must have a valid driver's license in order to operate Company vehicles to make deliveries to remote locations.
- Familiar with inspection procedures for food items.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational, safety, and sanitation skills.
- Ability to lift heavy packages up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with equipment such as; Dolly/Hand Cart; Pallet Jack, Scale, Adding Machine, Computer, Radio, Motorized Vehicle, Golf Cart
