Job description
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager with background in Lean/Continuous Improvement. The ideal candidate will be familiar with duties such as monitoring Inbounds / shipments, verifying, reconciling, and reporting on the company’s inventory, and finding new ways to meet and exceed our working capital goals. A successful inventory manager will ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives yet validate those discrepancies and non-confirmation is also not taking place. In addition to standard inventory management duties:
The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of sourcing (tactical or strategic). How to map a process for improvement.
Responsibilities
Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
Inspect the levels of warehouse supplies and customer material to identify shortages and overages
Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand for customer
Record inbounds and shipments to reconcile inventory
Use software to monitor inventory and document characteristics of inventory
Analyze data to anticipate future needs / projects and or shipments
Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
Inventory Manager responsibilities include:

Building team to cycle count all customer items
Inspecting the levels of business supplies and customer material to identify shortages
Ensuring product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Demonstrated / applied Lean skillset
Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP,WMS)
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
An analytical mind with strong math skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
BS/BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field
Cycle counting
Reporting damages, incorrect shipments
