Our Ballston Spa location is currently looking to immediately find a Inventory Specialist to handle daily inventory counts in all of our buildings.

Summary:

Responsible for performing quarterly cycle counts on all product groups(building material product). Researching and identifying causes of discrepancies and working with the correct departments to resolve all discrepancies. Support the warehouse and branch for the movement of product and material, including shipping and receiving of incoming and outgoing merchandise and material. Must have building material product knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Inventory and Merchandising

• Preplan inventory locations
• Conduct count corrections
• Research unresolved or significant gain/loss areas
• Work with management to delegate and follow up on counts
• Work with management on replenishment needs
• Forecasting and estimating potential inventory requirements based on sales, promotions, and sales reports
• Help rotate stock
• Ensure the yard is prepared for daily traffic
• Manage shrink by utilizing proper procedures for cull and damaged product
• Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts
• Replenish inventory as needed
• Accounting and reporting of inventory adjustments

Safety Expectations

• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Use proper PPE when required and maintain a safe work environment
• Be aware of surroundings at all times and work safely at all times

General Expectations

• Comply with all Company policies and procedures
• Develop new and existing skills through educational programs including, seminars, product knowledge training and clinics
• Willing to become a member of a committee/team for current or new programs to ensure their success
• Attendance at Company/store meetings is mandatory
