Camps Airy & Louise operate a full-service Kitchen and Dining Hall serving 3 meals and an afternoon snack each day to over 600 campers and staff. Our inventory staff works closely with the Food Service Manager to keep track of inventory and product flow, This position will also lead delivery truck receiving, unloading, and distribution of food and snacks around camp.

We are Looking for motivated candidates with a great attitude, and flexibility to do what's needed to get the job done. Live at camp as a member of the camp community and have fun while you work this summer!

Responsibilities include:

Supplies and Food inventory and distribution:

• Receiving trucks, unloading and restocking storage spaces while Ensuring FIFO system is followed and monitoring food rotation.
• Coordinating delivery and distribution around camp with food service manager, cooks, Dining hall manager and other camp individuals as well as Communicating supply needs to and from relevant personal.
• Rotation of Food supplies, Paper goods, Cleaning materials.
• Monitoring access to storage spaces.
• Ensure safe temperatures and quality of items coming off trucks, rejecting damaged or unsafe items, reporting to FSM of any issues.
• Lead by example and Practice safe, fast and efficient work methods.

Administrative

• Will complete Food service staff training upon arrival at camp
• Ensure all PO’s are checked getting off the truck and each order is delivered to its destination (kitchen, departments, etc.)
• Timely communicates delivery shorts to FSM to allow adjustments to menu and food and programing plans.
• Timely Communication of Weekly inventory counts and ordering needs to the FSM.
• Complete Temperature logs daily and report any issues to FSM.
• Communication with Various camp individuals on a daily basis.
• Must have a valid Driving license and Clean driving record.
• Reports to the Food service manager.

Cleaning, Sanitation and Safety

• Adherence to State of Maryland Health Department and American Camp Association Standards.
• Maintaining organized, clean, sanitary and accessible storage spaces including dry rooms, walk in coolers, cleaning closets, etc.
• Follow all safety regulations, reporting injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the FSM
• Breakdown boxes and take out to the recycling bin, Takes part in Trash removal and clean up.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Able to use basic mathematics to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must be able to do light work, exerting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, walking, pushing, lifting, etc.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods throughout the day
• Ability to communicate via Email / text / Phone

Biweekly pay + Completion Bonus.

This position will require living on camp for the summer.
