IT Business Systems Analyst (Sepulveda IT)
This is a partially remote position. The pay range for this role is between $80,300 - $89,200 annually.
Summary
Responsible for: The Business Systems Analyst will help development process improvement strategy. Work with vendors, various departments on projects, gathering business requirement and understanding the organizational needs. Responsible for leading short-term and long-term planning process and providing strategic analytics for decision-making across the health system. The Business Systems Analyst will design business plans, project documentation, performs application testing.
Primary Duties
- Contribute to the implementation, development, maintenance, and support of managed care applications and related information systems.
- Work with employees across multiple departments to define user needs and review business requirements in order to write system specifications, develop and execute internal test plans, and create system functionality documentation for reference and training use.
- Coordinate with other business departments to ensure implementation, development, monitoring of managed care applications, and systems integration are successful across multiple departments.
- Demonstrate excellent system maintenance, business analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Work independently to perform identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues, enhancements, and process improvements.
- The analyst is responsible for the implementation of solutions and documentation of resolutions. Including the maintenance of appropriate change logs of managed care and application-related problems and modifications.
- Prioritize issues, enhancements, and maintenance requests based on an understanding of business urgency and impact. Proactively communicates estimated delivery timeframes to appropriate business owners and ensures any changes to said estimates are also communicated in a timely manner along with the rationale for the change.
- Perform peer review of other business analysts’ work for the purpose of quality assurance.
Position Requirements
- Knowledge of healthcare processes including, but not limited to: provider and vendor data maintenance, and contract configuration.
- Understanding of best practices for clinical and organizational processes.
- Use independent judgment and initiative based on an understanding of business processes and needs.
- Ability to analyze current state processes/functionality to identify potential improvements to accuracy and efficiency.
- Interact with and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external contacts to support compliance and high levels of service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of implementation and maintenance of general accounting, payroll, and related accounting and record-keeping systems.
- Experience documenting business procedures and workflows in a consistent format.
- The ability to present ideas, information, and viewpoints clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Superior analytical skills.
- Ability to vet various software platforms to ensure features meet business requirements
- Knowledge of information technology, healthcare management, or business administration.
- Experience in information technology and/or managed healthcare, systems analysis, problem-solving, and systems implementation experience
- A commitment to team objectives and Didi Hirsch philosophies.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs by acquiring new technical skills and knowledge.
