As an IT Project Leader, you will play a key role within our IT organization and directly influence the value delivered through technology company wide. You will manage IT projects and work closely with a wide variety of teams and stakeholders across global IT, external partners, and the broader business. Your ideas, creativity, and contributions will have a direct impact on the business and end users as you deliver key projects. You will report to the Director – IT PMO.


So, what will you be doing as an IT Project Leader?


  • Responsible for managing assigned global IT projects and requests in accordance with Project Management Office (PMO) processes, project management methodologies, best practices, KPIs, continual improvement methods, and tools.
  • Oversee all aspects of lifecycle for assigned projects, including scoping; risk and financial analysis; resource allocation; establishing deadlines; delegating responsibilities; facilitating change management; and planning/tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the project team, cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Communicate technical and non-technical information at all levels of the organization.
  • Deliver presentations to generate buy-in with stakeholders and collaborate with them to ensure project requirements, budgets, and timelines are realistic. Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, critical path, and risks to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and with appropriate quality.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Conduct project post-mortems to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years IT project management background with verifiable track record and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Breadth of technical understanding with the ability to lead diverse projects within varied global IT landscape
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Process minded and results driven individual with strong leadership, organization, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to translate project vision and complex requirements into actionable plans that generate buy-in and deliver value to the organization
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Must be able to quickly learn, understand, and apply new knowledge
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and delegate tasks


Things we consider a plus:


  • PMP, SCRUM, ITIL, or other relevant certifications
  • Background within global manufacturing
  • Capable of creating financial models for multiyear, multimillion dollar initiatives
  • Experience facilitating IT contracting from negotiation through execution and completion
  • 7+ years IT project management background
