As the IT Support Associate, you will be the first point of contact for technical support service requests. You will be responsible for fielding online and desk-side requests from WEBTOON and its US affiliate companies. We’re looking for a proactive, resourceful, self-motivated, and agile individual that thrives in autonomy. You will have the opportunity to identify and create efficiencies within the business and directly contribute to our cross-company needs. As WEBTOON is a global company, you will report into the US team and collaborate closely with our IT, IS and Privacy teams in Korea.

** This is an onsite, 6-month opportunity, with a possible extension. **

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries received in a timely manner, and in accordance with organizational standards
  • Provide IT and information security training to all new hires, ensuring they’re equipped with all necessary and applicable tools and systems
  • Assist with updates and installations of security programs to meet security requirements for use of company assets
  • Manage, track, and maintain inventory levels, including but not limited to coordinating the purchase and return of company assts
  • Create and maintain documentation of ticket resolution
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all end-users with ownership and follow through
  • Build and foster relationships with IT vendors, negotiating best pricing for products and services
  • Troubleshoot networking issues and company conferencing systems such as MS Team, Slack, Poly and Zoom
  • Determine when to escalate hardware and software repairs to preferred outside vendors
  • Collaborate with internal teams on projects, as needed
  • Perform other special projects and duties as directed by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience providing Windows and Mac Operating systems technical support in a corporate setting
  • Business proficiency in English and Korean preferred
  • Ability to work onsite in our headquarters office located in Los Angeles, CA
  • Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Office issues
  • Basic networking and AV experience
  • Experience troubleshooting mobile devices
  • Experience with database and ticketing systems is required. Airtable experience is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, urgency, efficiency, and strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects.
  • Keen understanding of process and ownership with exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
