Jail Therapist Job at Newaygo County Mental Health
Newaygo County Mental Health is seeking an individual to provide short term solution focused therapy to adults with severe mental illness and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use within the Newaygo County Jail. Services will be provided in the jail on an individual or group basis. Successful candidates will have experience in providing intensive services and crisis management. Substance use disorder treatment experience is desired. This individual must be skilled, resourceful, energetic, and possess strong verbal/written communication skills, and proficient computer skills. Ability to work with frequent interruptions, as well as ability to prioritize and function independently is vital.
Will consider Master of Arts in Counseling or Psychology or Masters of Social Work with appropriate state licensure (LLPC, LPC, TLLP, LLP, LLMSW, LMSW) and valid Michigan driver's license.
Salary range: $58,000 - $73,000; based on licensure and experience, with excellent benefits.
Newaygo CMH is a qualified site for the National Health Services Core (NHSC), a loan repayment program. Other incentives include a loan reimbursement and tuition reimbursement policies, and supervision for limited licenses.
