The Janitorial position keeps our buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, maintaining bathrooms, cleaning floors, walls and glass, removing trash, and any other task as asked by the AFW management team.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Knowledge of blood borne pathogens (BBP) and the ability to safely clean blood borne pathogens (BBP).
• Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.
  

Qualifications

• Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Able to clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Experience Servicing, cleaning, and suppling, restrooms.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other company approved cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Able to dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Communicate with the management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Ability to remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.

Physical Requirements

• Long periods of and standing and walking.
• Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
• Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
• Bending, gripping, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items
• Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise/equipment when necessary, must be able to stand/walk regularly.
• Requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-50 pounds)
