Job Description:
Work Location - 150 William St. New York, NY - Minimum 3 days a week onsite
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The company's Portal will be a One-Stop portal allowing New Yorkers to find, check eligibility, and apply for vital services. Today, City services are challenging to find and have cumbersome and confusing processes, and some continue to require long PDF application submissions. Data from applications and services are not managed centrally, resulting in no easy mechanism to share data amongst City agencies.
Using RACL and integrating with the Cloud OTI Integration Platform, the front-end developer will be required to:
- Work with the business analysts to program the specifications.
- Estimate the timeframe to implement the specifications.
- Provide updates to development manager.
- Provide programming as well as support documentation.
- Conduct unit testing.
- Conduct integration testing.
- Works with project team members to perform the necessary change.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- At least 4 years of experience writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions
- Specific expertise in programming in the UI development, WEB environment utilizing JAVA, Angular, Micro Services, APIs, Java Script, Java Server Pages, SQL, web services.
- Experience using JDeveloper.
- A minimum of 4 years Java programming experience with in-depth knowledge of web technologies.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with Web-logic and or Apache Tomcat.
- A minimum of 1 year backend experience with SQL, Stored Procedures/Functions.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design, development, programming, and implementation of IT applications utilizing relational databases.
- Experience in creation of design documents.
- Quick to learn, self-motivated, and enthusiastic; work well within a team environment and with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working with clearly defined project plans and contributing estimates to the planning process.
- Able to meet and deliver on deadlines and work well under pressure.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of and experience with working on common design patterns and industry standards.
- Experience with version control TFS.
- Versed in different development methodologies (Iterative, Agile, Scrum etc.).
- Strong communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
