CHOICE Employment Services, located in Decorah, IA is currently accepting applications for full-time and part-time Job Coach/Direct Support Professional positions. CHOICE provides supports to individuals in their workplace and are currently hiring for the following communities: OELWEIN, DECORAH, CRESCO, WEST UNION, FAYETTE, WAUKON. CHOICE currently has part time (up to 32 hours/week) and full time (33-40 hours/week) available for the right candidates. Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.

A job coach is an individual whose focus is to help individuals with disabilities to learn and perform their job duties to the expectations of the employer. This position assists CHOICE consumers to work on the development and implementation of their goal objectives to maintain employment in their local community based jobs while providing support in employment related tasks. Applicants should have the ability to demonstrate and model positive workplace behavior, have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be able to represent CHOICE in a professional manner within the business community. Computer skills and experience with Google Workspace is a plus. Applicants must be able to work days, evenings and some weekend hours.

Applicants must be able to pass a background check and complete all standards required by the State of Iowa to be employed in a Community Rehabilitation Provider setting within required timelines, including completion of Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) exam within 2 years, as well as completion of 9.5 hours of Employment Training through Direct Course or an ACRE certified training program. Each employee is also required to complete 4 hours of continuing education in Employment Services annually. These trainings are provided by CHOICE. Reliable transportation is required.
