About the Role: EGlobalTech, a Tetra Tech Company, is looking for a Jr. Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our Technology Solutions Practice. This team is supporting a federal Data Center site located in Kiln, Mississippi and requires on-site support and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Badge and/or clearance. Responsibilities:

• This role is responsible for working under the umbrella of Network Engineering Operations to provide support to customers and employees for issues relating to service availability and reliability.
• Perform Level 1/2 support to customers.
• Responsible for ownership of all tickets and open support items.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues.
• Follow standard procedures for escalation of unresolved Incidents to the appropriate internal teams and or management.
• Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
• Resolve issues quickly and correctly and ensure that no items remain open beyond the maximum time required to address the root cause.
• Document and maintain a lessons learned database and ensure a constant culture of improvement.
• Responding to all manner of automated alerts.
• Respond to internal and external service requests across a variety of mediums including email, telephone, and instant messaging.
• Basic end user troubleshooting and information gathering to effectively triage (or resolve) issues.
• Resolving or following up with issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Suggesting and assisting with changes to prevent problems in the future, including identifying blind spots in monitoring.
• Tracking issues in Jira.
• Communicating professionally and effectively to represent the company to end users.
• Remediation of security issues to include patch or update deployment.
• Developing effective workflows, procedures, and technologies to help the NOC run smoothly.
• Working in a team to accomplish all of the above, including cross training.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of fundamental NOC concepts, processes, practices, and procedures.
• 2+ years of experience directly relating Network or Systems Operations.
• Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills.
• This position is on a shift schedule and the team provides support 24 hours X 7 days a week. This position may require weekend and night coverage based on team schedule.
• Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust. This positions requires an extensive background/ credit check and may require eligibility up to Top Secret/ SCI Clearance.
• HS Diploma is required, bachelor’s degree is preferred.
