Emerald EMS is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers, focusing on high-reliability electronic assemblies. With design and manufacturing facilities in California, Michigan, and New Hampshire, as well as in Shenzhen, China, Emerald EMS specializes in high mix, low- to medium-volume manufacturing for high-reliability markets in the Aerospace/Defense, Industrial Controls, Life Sciences, Power & Infrastructure, Semiconductor and Telecommunications sectors. Responsibilities:

  • Use technical expertise to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Support production in resolving problems related to equipment malfunctions
  • Provide feedback and input to DFM activities and reviews
  • Research, develop and implement processes to increase efficiency in manufacturing
  • Implement new technology to include Robotic applications, 3D Printing, Mechanical Assembly Applications and any special tooling/jigs required for primarily secondary operations
  • Act as technical support of the Aegis process development team
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Associate's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or related field with a minimum of 7 years experience
  • Military & Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred

Language:

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English is required
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and J-STD-001A
  • Knowledge in Modeling Software such as Solidworks, Fusion360, etc. SQL, Disk recovery, DOS, Microsoft Operating Systems, Network connectivity
  • Understanding of SPC and SQC
  • Ability to interpret customer drawings/requirements

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to resolve complex problems and manager multiple task given in written and oral form

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification is a plus
  • 6 Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing is a plus
