Job Description:
The Production Artist works closely with other members of the Marketing department and shares responsibility for creating, producing, and updating the firm’s print and electronic marketing collateral via various formats. Responsibilities include:
- Execute all aspects of print and electronic collateral production, including:
- planning concepts and studying existing information and materials
- creating design elements conveying an appropriate theme or message
- selecting colors, images, text style and layout
- ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and adhere to brand guidelines
- prepare rough drafts and present design concepts to the project manager and incorporate requested changes
- review work for errors before routing to the project manager and/or print vendor
- prepare final files for release to print vendors or electronic distribution, as appropriate.
- Order and maintaining a stock photography library
- Monitor and adapt relevant design trends, methodologies, and best practices to help improve the effectiveness of the firm’s marketing collateral
- Demonstrate sophisticated design skills with a strong portfolio of work
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and Adobe Dreamweaver
- Ability to design emails using Pardot
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and receive constructive feedback
- Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
- Ability to identify design inconsistencies and errors
- Willingness to learn new design software and applications, as needed
- Adept at balancing multiple projects with demanding deadlines
- Ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities
- Familiarity with photography and a basic understanding of videography is a plus but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Advertising beneficial but not required
