We are seeking a junior staff accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self starter with knowledge of accounting principles, some accounting experience, and an intermediate or better knowledge of Microsoft Excel. As a junior staff accountant you will play a key role in the success of our business by working directly with clients and internal business operations. You can expect to learn a lot about financial reporting, financial management, business operations, consulting and tax planning.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited too:
- Client communication: Respond to client inquiries, provide updates, and address concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, process accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
- Payroll: Calculate and process employee payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Budgeting: Prepare and maintain budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports to clients.
- Data analysis: Use data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and provide insights to clients.
Preferred candidates have:
- Some college education in finance or accounting
- QuickBooks Online or Desktop Experience
- Intermediate or better knowledge of excel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- An eagerness to learn and help other succeed.
