*(Multiple) 3pm-11:30pm- Daily

*(Limited) 11:30pm-8am- Daily

*(Weekends-ALL SHIFTS ) 7:00am -3:30pm , 3:30pm-11:30pm, and 11:30pm -8am. Weekend could also include 12 hour shifts.

Starting Pay Minimum $15/hour Youth Care Worker! Rate is increased for Supervisor Roles.

Direct Care minimum – $15/hour. 2 years’ recent experience in a residential setting; Mental health hospital, Juvenile detention, group home, emergency shelter or Associates Degree in related field.

The Direct Care Staff works in a 24 hour residential program (this is not a daycare setting) and assists with overseeing residents in the residential programs. Program open 24/7. Male Youth ages range from 10-17 years old.

Responsibilities for Direct Care Staff

• Monitor each child's on-going activity
• Be aware of children's habits, interest, and any special needs.
• Positively reinforce children's efforts and accomplishments.
• Ensure continuity of care for children by sharing within incoming caregiver information about each child's activities during the previous shift and any verbal or written instructions by the case worker or other professionals.
• Provide the level of supervision necessary to ensure each child's safety and well-being, including auditory and/or visual awareness of each child's on-going activity as appropriate.
• Transport children to off site activities.
• Must be comfortable working alone in a 1:5 child ratio.

Experience for Mental Health Tech-Direct Care Worker

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be 21 and older
• Must pass background check, drug test, tuberculosis screening
• Reliable transportation with a Valid Texas Driver's license and liability insurance
• Two (2) year of experience in residential childcare setting including: Mental Health Hospital, Juvenile detention centers, group homes, emergency shelters with direct responsibility for monitoring the children's day to day activities.
