We are building a team of highly qualified educators to launch our K-8th Private Christian school in Steamboat Springs, Co for the 2023-24 school year. Looking for talented and energetic applicants holding a minimum of a B.A. in elementary or middle school education/child development or related academic specialty areas (Math, Sciences, Writing, etc). Teaching certification and advanced coursework/degree highly desired, but not necessarily required. Must have a desire/calling to teach in a faith-based environment and equip this generation of learners to develop their identity in Christ. Qualified candidates must be able to learn and implement combined classical Christian curriculum, as well as to utilize creativity to create project and service based learning applications. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other staff members in order to create a cohesive learning environment. Innovation and flexibility are key, as classrooms may combine up to two grade levels. Candidates must be highly creative and comfortable with lesson planning, progress monitoring, parent-caregiver conferencing and have a strong desire to ignite curiosity and a love for learning within their students. Grade-level and/or teaching subject specialty is highly preferred, but not required. Any special interests or talents to enhance the learning community such as that in sports, outdoor education, music, foreign language and arts are welcomed.
Our school will be led by our executive director alongside the board of education. Steamboat Christian Academy is launching as a mission of the church; Steamboat Christian Center. This partnership will provide key resources such as pastoral support, Biblical teaching and campus space.
