Kamp Lenape Counselor/Seasonal

Job Summary: This is a seasonal day camp position. Responsibilities include creating, implementing & overseeing daily activities with campers, and monitoring safety of the campers. Also responsible for sanitation and cleanliness of camp grounds when camp is open.

GENERAL INFORMATION: The counselor reports to the Kamp Director, with compensation starting at $11.75 per hour. The work week is Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. This position is a seasonal position, July 5th through August 2023.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be organized to create a variety of skill level activities for children and adults with disabilities. Must have an appreciation for the outdoors as you will assist in outdoor programs, swimming, and other camp activities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 20lbs, stand, sit, bend, kneel, run, and walk for periods up to 4 hours before breaks. Must be able to perform CPR/AED, First Aid. Training will be provided in-house.

QUALIFICATIONS: Have a valid Delaware license (age 16) with no more than two moving violations on record at time of hire. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check, Adult and Child Abuse Registry check, Sex Offender listing check and drug screening.
