Kamp Lenape Nurse/Seasonal

Job Summary: This is a seasonal day camp position. The Camp Nurse is a caring voice, kind ear, and passionate member of the camp. The nurse will provide physical and emotional care to the campers/staff.

GENERAL INFORMATION: The Camp nurse reports to the Camp Director, compensation based on experience. The work week is Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. This position is a seasonal position, July 5th through August 2023.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Remain calm and think clearly in emergency situations. Administer first aid for minor injuries. Do health screenings with all camp members and keep records according to state guidelines. Must pay attention to details, must administer medications, and communicate with parents/staff on sick campers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 20lbs, stand, sit, bend, kneel, run, and walk for periods up to 4 hours before breaks. Must be able to perform CPR/AED, First Aid, and Mandt techniques. All training is provided through Kent Sussex Industries, Inc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age, and have an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Would prefer camp experience. Have a valid Delaware license with no more than two moving violations on record at time of hire. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check, Adult and Child Abuse Registry check, Sex Offender listing check and drug screening.
