Lab Services Manager

Manages all areas of laboratory support services including couriers, specimen processing, client service representatives, as well as all components of reference laboratory. Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing specific services. Responsible for fiscal management, performance improvement activities, and compliance with all relevant policies/procedures and regulations. Manages all aspects of personnel processes. Communicates information effectively. Ability to make timely decisions and manage change process. Must interact with all departments as part of the management team. Provides input into goal and policy development, budget planning, and future growth opportunities as appropriate. Assists laboratory leaders by providing technical assistance and support as necessary. Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology
• ASCP certified

Responsibilities:

• All elements of managing specimen processing, reference desk, couriers, and client service staff.
• Creates and updates laboratory policies as needed.
• Looks to continually improve and adapt our process to accommodate volume.
• Acts as resource to staff and leads of client services as well as supporting departments.
• Monitors key performance indicators and creates QA reports along with direct communication with Director and management team.

Credentials - Essential:

• ASCP-MEDTECH - MLT OR MT

Competencies and Skills - Essential:

• Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
• Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs
• Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
• Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
• Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
• Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records

Education - Essential:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Medical Technology
