Laboratory Glass Wash Technician.
Our client's site is a worldwide manufacturer of health care products, and a leader in monoclonal antibody technology with acute vascular care and immunology products.
Job Description
KEY TASKS MAJOR JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring compliance of activities performed in adherence with defined schedules and quality within a specified area. -
Act and report on deviations
-
Act as a key point of contact for all research staff to deal with problems within the laboratories pertaining to stock inventory and dispatching samples
-
Creation, maintenance and updating relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance and training.

Report on KPIs, metrics, SLAs and weekly tasks
-
Analyse reports, measurements and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Sample Dispatch
-
Receive, pack, prepare and ship R&D samples (biological, chemical, radioactive etc) globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea)

Dispatch goods ensuring all relevant documentation is correct and meets GxP and Health and Safety standards.

Resolve or escalate complex queries from the customer in particular relating to internal and external delivery.
-
Maintain building security standards at all times in line with DfT requirements.
-
Participate in the preparation for regulatory inspections as needed. Escort regulatory inspectors on audits/tours of the dispatch facility and provide documents and explanation concerning the processes and facility.

Ensure that materials with special handling, storage or distribution requirements (such as hazardous shipments and temperature sensitive material) are properly monitored.

Archiving of documentation. Ensure that all necessary documents and authorisations are available in time for every shipment e.g. COAs, TASCA import license.

Ensure that incoming materials are of suitable quality and quantity, received to inventory correctly and available for use on the date required.

Liaise with Government bodies/customers/regulated agents/suppliers/planning office to resolve complex queries about the delivery and collection of research samples
Central Stores & Procurement
-
Support the day to day running of the onsite stores and goods inwards services inclusive of solvents, chemicals, consumables and specialist scientific products
-
Receipt, replenishment and distribution of inventory to meet end user demands, utilizing industry-leading inventory management technology to track usage and continually optimize stocking levels
-
Ensuring that stores requisitions are issued from the inventory management system.

Carrying out regular Stock checks on stores inventory.
-
Ensure accuracy of data in the inventory system including location, quantity on hand, value etc
-
Create procedures and reporting for the effective management of inventory, demonstrating cost savings.
-
Trouble-shooting inventory management system problems.
-
Liaison with AZ procurement and external suppliers to leverage best price, and proactively managing consignment stock.

Procurement of specialist products using AZs iBuy purchasing platform.
-
Broad understanding of products and keeping up to date with external benchmarks.

Ensuring Non stores goods are received and recorded into relevant Goods In and End Users are notified that goods have arrived

Regular reviews with customers to ensure right products are stocked.
Logistics Procedures
-
Traverse daily deliveries from various couriers into Central Stores area daily.
-
Cross reference parcels using in house software functionality to align deliveries.
-
Change Gas Cylinders on site in line with demand from user group.
-
Maintain access routes for deliveries of goods and equipment on site at all times.
-
Track orders via courier groups to ensure delivery of supply chain.
-
Work collaboratively with suppliers and vendors to problem solve order progression.
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm M-F schedule. Pay $18+/hr. DOE

Required Skills / Qualifications:
1) High School Diploma or GED
2) Must have at least 6 months lab experience
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
-
A scientific degree or proof of multiple years of work experience in a scientific environment preferable.

Experience working to IATA/ADR/IMDG preferable.

Excellent attention to detail.

Able to partner with other teams and suppliers and deliver results in a matrix environment, managing multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Able to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations.

Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem solving capabilities.

Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Standards.

Project management skills, ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
