Specific Duties /Essential Functions:

• Responsible for processing dirty linen in a timely manner.
• Sorting dirty linen by colors, class of fabrics.
• Load washers and dryers properly, ensure chemical dosage is correct.
• Identify and discard unserviceable linen.
• Sort and fold clean linen and place in their designated areas.
• Revamp villas - Wash, dry and fold bedspread, pillow shams, etc. put into protective bag, mark with villa number place on shelf
• Advice supervisor when par levels of all linen, terry and bathrobes. robes
• Keep laundry room, storage and equipment in laundry area clean and organized.
• Report any malfunction of equipment in the laundry to the supervisor.
• Work with other members of the team in a cooperative manner to achieve department goals.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge in the safe and correct use of all chemicals on daily basis and proper operation of equipment and tools.
• Demonstrate proper use of safety practices in all procedures.
• Immediately report unsafe incidents or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
• Provide customer service to all guests in a pleasant and professional manner answering questions briefly while conforming to villa cleaning times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift, pull and or push up to 40 lbs, move, stand, walk, traverse, crouch/stoop, kneel, repetitive hand/wrist motion, reach, bend, see, recognize, distinguish, convey information and converse with staff & guests with great consistency.

Other Specific Skills:

Good communication skills.

Self motivated.

Must be able to read chemical labels, resort policies and other instructions.

Education Experience Required:

High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

Experience in Hotel Laundry.
