As our Lawn and Fertilizer Specialist you will complete a variety of customer service functions and specialize in sales with high level product knowledge working with Residential and Commercial customers.

Duties include but are not limited to greeting customers and providing appropriate solutions and alternatives to ensure the customer is satisfied. Additionally, the Lawn and Fertilizer Specialist will provide sales assistance to local landscape companies and seek additional business outside of the store to grow the customer base.

What will I do as the Lawn and Fertilizer Specialist?

• 
  Creating and maintaining a warm, inviting, easy-to-navigate shopping environment.
• Helping and affirming customers in finding the product specific to their wants/needs.
• Keep store and yard neat and organized, following all safety policies to ensure safety of staff and guests.
• Processing sales including cashiering, input of orders using POS system, set up and tracking deliveries (in departments where applicable).
• Use inventory management system (Eagle) to maintain appropriate stocking levels.
• Delivering an exceptional consumer shopping experience that leaves guests feeling inspired, enabled, affirmed, and eager to return.
• Ensuring accurate pricing and signage for product merchandise.
• Assist with merchandising of product based on seasonality/promotions, etc.
• Continuing product education to provide the most valuable experience to customers.
• Provide coaching and professional development to team member sales associates to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Work well independently, resolve problems, relate well with various types of individuals, exercise good judgment, and work cooperatively in a team.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

1. Excellent customer service skills and one-year previous sales experience.

2. Organized with high attention to detail

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Scheduling: 4 Days M-F + 1 Weekend Day per week

Store Operating Hours: M-F 8a - 7p, Sat 8a - 6p, Sun 8a - 5p
