Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital _ Cabell County, WV

This position will oversee and direct the Accounting, Trustee, Insurance Billing and Business Office functions of the Fiscal Services department for a 110 bed Psychiatric Hospital owned and operated by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. This position will be responsible and oversee all internal and external financial reporting requirements of the agency, preparation of the annual budget, compilation of financial statements, hospital statistical reports and GAAP closing forms. This position will serve as the backup for the Chief Financial Officer, in their absence.

This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Candidate must successfully pass a background screening.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 24 semester hours in accounting.

AND

Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in professional accounting, statutory accounting, auditing work, forensic accounting, public accounting, investigative and/or forensic auditing, certified fraud examining, or other directly related accounting.

OR

Substitutions: (1) Master's degree in accounting may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience. (2) Certification or registration as a Public Accountant in West Virginia may be substituted for the training and two (2) years of the required experience.

Preference will be given to applicants holding a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), or applicants who have completed a graduate certificate program in forensic accounting and fraud investigation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,157.00 - $70,589.00 per year
