Job Title: Lead Bartender
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Bartender to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the bar operations, managing the bartending staff, creating and executing unique and creative cocktail recipes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the bartending staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee bar operations, including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations as prescribed by company standards.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff for the development and execution of creative cocktail recipes and maintain a comprehensive menu of classic and signature cocktails.
- Engage with customers and ensure that they receive exceptional service and an enjoyable experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
- Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules
- Work with the management team to set sales targets and implement strategies to achieve them.
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Continuously educate bartending staff on new cocktail trends and techniques.
- Create a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a bartender, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, mixing techniques, and bar operations.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of bartenders.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Education/Formal Training
Bartending training and certification, including Responsible Beverage Service (RBS); TIPS Certified

- Lifting trays, racks, glass racks, etc. 20 -40 lbs. Pushing carts, coolers, portable bar
- Carrying trays, racks, glass racks, etc using both hands. 20 -40 lbs.
- Bending/kneeling -ability to bend to lower level cabinets and lift trays.
- Mobility -maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests.
- Continuous standing required to service guest functions; 100% of the time scheduled.
- Climbing approximately 12 steps 25% - 35% of 8 hours.
- Driving may be required to offsite events.
- Must have moderate comprehension and literacy to read use records and all special requests.
- Must have ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, must be able to follow verbal and written instruction, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks.
- Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
- Ability to read, speak and write English. Ability to accurately count cash.
- Ability to operate cash register.
