Lead, Dietary Aide - 1st Shift Job at Lowell General Hospital

The Dietary Aide performs a variety of food service activities in an inpatient hospital setting. This is a great opportunity to work close to home and be part of a customer focused food services team.
Hours: Full-Time, 40h/week, 1st Shift
Job Duties:
- Consistently checks holding temperature of hot food to ensure food items meet HACCP guidelines.
- Disassembles tray line steam table, keeping waste products down to a minimum. Documents waste onto waste log sheet.
- Accurately slices deli meats using scale to ensure proper weight.
- Prepares ground and puree meats, using molds for puree meat and vegetables, according to recipe
- Stocks and prepares short order items (hamburgers, chicken breast, grilled cheese, etc.) properly.
- Washes and cleans all vegetables to be used in food preparation.
- Identifies and uses color-coded cutting boards for food preparation.
- Ensures that cold food items are held at 40 degrees or below.
- Cleans stations thoroughly before leaving area for other assignments.
- Demonstrates proper preparation of prescribed recipes for all tray line and cafeteria salads, ensuring HACCP guidelines are followed.
- Cooperatively adapts to changes, especially crisis situations, such as shorthanded staff, mechanical failures, disasters, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience
