Job Description Summary:
This position serves in a Lead capacity and subject matter expert for assigned area(s). Works closely with HIT staff to design and implement new technology, maintain infrastructure, monitor performance, assists in troubleshooting applications and systems, and ensures security of the Logan Health data.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science.
- Comparable work experience in a relevant field and certifications equivalent to Microsoft Enterprise Expert or CCNP.
- Additional requirements as applicable to assigned area(s):
- Systems Engineering
- Experience in Microsoft-centric Active Directory/Azure and cloud environments, virtualization, enterprise printing, MDM and DR/BC.
- Network Engineering
- Experience in Cisco-centric wired and wireless networks, nextgen internal and external firewalls, data loss prevention, edge monitoring and filtering (email, web traffic), Network Access Control and redundant internet configurations, VPNs, and site link circuit connectivity.
- Highly proficient in QOS and network troubleshooting tools for performance and issue resolution,
- Telecommunications
- Experience in Cisco-centric phone systems; UCCX unified solutions, call center, call reporting and recording, and SRST survivable remote site configurations.
- Systems Engineering
- Minimum of four (4) years’ enterprise class systems related experience in a mid-range LAN consisting of at least 4000 users required.
- Project management experience required.
- Previous experience in field as an Engineer II level position preferred.
- Excellent customer service, dynamic problem solving and superior teamwork skills required.
- Must have an in depth understanding of Enterprise class infrastructure, fleet management, and cyber security required. Possess ability to effect change and transfer projects from implementation to support required.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Job Specific Duties:- Works in collaboration with assigned leadership and vendors in the scope and design of Enterprise cloud, local infrastructure, and application configuration according to required specifications and objectives.
- Assists team members and IT/corporate service lines with technical challenges and technology adoption by delivering purpose designed solutions. Develops fleet controls, security processes and operational checklists that deliver, standardize and operationalize systems across the Logan Health system.
- Participates in projects, maintains project timelines, and provides appropriate documentation, documents functional requirements, as-built configuration and detailed specifications. Works in collaboration with SME’s in order to identify project scope, functional requirements, and timelines.
- Exhibits excellent communication, follow up skills and communicates professionally and effectively with others.
- Participates in-group projects as assigned. Exhibits project management skills, understands and participates in planning, design and build, testing, end-user training, and cutover and go-live. Exhibits knowledge of work plans and manages tasks and timelines. Communicates project status and key issues ensuring all projects, reports are delivered on time, and thoroughly vetted.
- Participates in the operational monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure and systems to meet applicable Federal and State regulations identified by Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) standards and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks. Maintains a knowledge base of current exploits and vulnerabilities.
- Serves as a technical expert, assists with resolution of complex and/or escalated issues (Tier 3 support), and develops and/or implements solutions for complex system requirements. Provides deep domain knowledge of HIT hybrid cloud, vendor applications systems, fleet management and disaster recovery.
- Assumes full ownership of all outcomes start to finish. Prioritizes project work, support issues and assigned tasks utilizing appropriate critical decision-making skills.
- Pursues opportunities for self-development and takes responsibility for ongoing enhancement of skills to keep up with industry changes. Stays current with industry trends as they relate to job responsibilities. Provides research on tools and methodologies for network infrastructure, segmentation, and cyber security. .
- Safeguards the security and privacy of patient- and business-confidential information by encrypting, segmenting and transmitting data through HIPAA compliant and industry best practice secure methodologies.
- Lead may be expected to perform one (1) or more of the following tasks regularly:
- Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.
- Trains or coordinates the training of employees.
- Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.
- Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for employee questions about expectations and processes.
- Assists in interviewing job candidates.
- Leads or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.
- Other duties as assigned at the discretion of management, excluding issuing corrective actions or administering performance evaluations.
