Lead Veterinary Technician Registered RVT
Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced nurse, who loves animals, to join our team. We are a privately owned, small animal practice that has a well-established history of serving the Sacramento Valley for over 30 years. We are dedicated to clients and pets to offer the best quality of care and respect in a professional environment. Our ideal candidate is warm, compassionate, enjoys communication in patient care, and is passionate about small animal veterinary medicine. Must be dependable, have excellent customer service skills, and have an upbeat, mature, and motivated positive attitude. Must be detail oriented for data entry. Must be able to complete tasks without direct supervision and lead.

Performance expectations include, but are not limited to

• Work in a fast past environment
• Place catheters, blood draws and process lab work
• Monitor anesthesia
• Room patients and get brief history
• Work side by side with the doctors as their right hand
• Client relations - vaccination, client education
• Treatment, of inpatient & outpatient pets
• Assist in surgeries
• Preform dentals
• Take full body and dental x-rays
• Computer skills with paperless software
• Infection, sanitation, & cleanliness control

Our goal is to provide high quality medicine in serving our pet parents as we educate them by providing resources that allow pet owners to make informed decisions regarding their pet's wellness.

Part-time to Full-time Monday through Saturday. Rate of pay to be determined by experience, full time employees receive medical health & 401K match plan. Very generous Pet benefits, gym membership, and a flexible schedule.

Must have 2 year of experience.

Must pass a background and drug test.'
