Position: Learning & Development Generalist

Location: Grants Pass Administrative Office (with periodic travel to outlying offices)
This is an “in person” position and requires regular office hours

Type of Position: Full-time, non-exempt, 35+ hours per week

Starting wage $17.50/hour

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Preference given to applicants with college degrees in related fields.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Pass a State/Federal Criminal History Check
  • Background screening including employment and education history
  • Pre-employment drug screening (for the use of illegal drugs in Oregon)
  • Valid ODL with an insurable driving record
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience in the field of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities

VISION STATEMENT FOR LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT GENERALIST TEAM MEMBER:

As a member of the Human Resources Team, the Learning and Development Generalist serves as a role model to all PCL team members. This person will provide support to the Human Resources team (and other teams as assigned) in the capacity of clerical support and training. They have a strong work ethic, with a high standard for success. They act in a professional and ethical manner. They understand that the team members of, and people supported by PCL, are their customers and will treat everyone they interact with in a dignified and respectful manner.

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Be knowledgeable of, promote, model, and adhere to PCL’s Policies and Procedures, including the Team Member Handbook, Ethical Guidelines, PCL Playbook, and the NADSP Code of Ethics.
  • Dependable, reliable and regular work attendance, including team meetings, All-Staff Meetings, Team and Agency retreats as required. Exceptions to regular working hours can be made with prior approval.
  • Responsible for facilitation of New Hire OrientationWelcoming and assisting new hires

Certifying trainings in Training Management System (TMS)TimesheetsRoad Evals/CPR instructor

  • After hours orientation coverage (on rotation)
  • Facilitating and Training Meet & Greets/Orientation classes as required
  • Assist with agency wide reporting and project needs including surveys, Board Plan goals, Board Directive Action Teams as assigned, etc.
