Position Summary:
The Yeshiva College and Stern College English Departments of Yeshiva University invite applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Writing Lecturer (three-year appointment with possibility of renewal) beginning August 2023.
Position Responsibilities:
3/3 teaching load (on two Manhattan campuses), including at least five first-year writing courses and the likelihood of one advanced writing course per year. Other responsibilities include participation in relevant faculty development programs, departmental meetings, and service activities.
Experience & Educational Background:
Required: MFA or Ph.D. in Writing or English or related field, commitment to the teaching of college writing, and three years teaching composition at the post-secondary level. Ability to teach journalism or playwriting and an active writing life desirable.
