Position Title: Part-Time Licensed Acupuncturist

Reports To: Director of Care Services Program: Wellness Center

JOB SUMMARY:

Project VIDA Inc. currently has a part-time opportunity for a licensed Acupuncturist. As an Acupuncturist with Natural
Therapy, you will be a part of a team assisting the patient to optimal health with integrity and compassion.

JOB DUTIES:

▪ Provides medically necessary acupuncture, consults, assessments and treatments when requested/authorized by family physicians/specialists.

▪ Provides an accurate TCM diagnosis, supported by medical findings based on standardized examination and techniques generally accepted by the medical community. This includes TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and
Western diagnostic techniques.

▪ Produces complete, accurate, uniform and replicable examinations.
▪ Provides quality treatment to cure or relieve the medical condition causing the patient's complaint.
▪ Documents all treatments and patient's response to acupuncture therapy on patient's chart.
▪ Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
▪ Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

▪ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Illinois
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Acupuncture - Traditional Chinese Medicine Practioner
3. Maintain currency of Acupuncture License in the state of Illinois
4. Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine or Acupuncture from an accredited college
5. NCCAOM certified, with Chinese herbal medicine training
6. The ideal candidate is one who possess the ability to be a self-starter, has amazing communication skills, is team oriented, who is ambitious, responsible, on-time and flexible, and above all professional
7. Ability to work weekends is required.
