LPN – Urgent Need!
A family located in the Wilkes Barre area is seeking a skilled, outgoing, compassionate LPN/ RN to provide 2:1 care for their daughter living on her own with family and paid supports. The candidate will attend to the medical needs of the young lady, assist with her ADL’s and accompany her in the community on outings and participating in activities that she enjoys. The young lady enjoys shopping, going out to eat, art exhibits, craft shows, festivals, musical performances, and socializing with others in the community.
Description of Duties:
- Assist with ADL’s as needed
- Attend to medical needs and seizure monitoring
- Provide supervision and companionship, 2:1 supervision at home and in the community
- Document goals worked on via phone system
- Communicate with guardian and surrogate on an ongoing basis
- Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectual Disabilities preferred
Expectations /Requirements:
- LPN / RN certification required
- Be willing to participate in criminal background check
- Valid Driver’s license, registered, insured, inspected, motor vehicle
- Be punctual, possess excellent communication skill
Current scheduling needs: Part time to full time position – up to 32-40 hours per week, some evenings and every other weekend required
Job Type: Full time / Part-time
Pay: Up to $30.00 based on experience. Staff will not be employed by Keystone Independent Living rather the AWC, Caregivers America and Surrogate.
